Near-Death.

Near death experiences Or experience with the dead Not doing diets Coz am cursed to die But am just a generic code Of my genetic ancestors Like all A.I We must upgrade And pass the gene To the next generation I bet it's for the best That death is just To remove redundancy Like they say No accidents happen in the universe.

Lithium.

Used to be a footnote On the periodic table Now am such a big deal Cars,Jets,Aeroplanes Claim am the future Without me there's no communication Samsung,Apple,Huawei All go under Yet am on the back Of an eleven year old Daily, Breaking and shifting Harsh supervisors Illegal mines Nobody cares for the environment And labor laws Profit flows Death calls Western economies grow Multinationals acquire me Through third parties now So don't wanna face Criticism of child exploitation head-on huh? Rather be the 4 star general Directing activities from HQ With medieval tools and poor ventilation They smell death, firsthand Poverty reigns where  they from But once I enter the market as a battery cell Quarterly profits jump To a record high on the dough jones When will I ever benefit my source

A Million Secrets.

Tenth hour eleventh hour Doesn't matter Still time filling my cup Till it runneth over My hearts cabinets Full of secrets Love the major benefactor So many veins of pain So many arteries of hope Filling into an aorta of expectations Still hoping I got this Always remember Nothing happens to you Everything happens for you So enjoy your cup as it lasts This is life.

Son Song.

I choose to live free n rest in peace Dressed in Che's war fatigue And a beard as a memento Just waiting for an AK to be complete Been stealing my shit my entire life In the name of democracy I choose autocracy as a memoir I am gonna live by the ballot Or the buĺet friend

Lament of an African Artefact.

A century has passed A millenium might Still lying in this glass box Far from home I am aware My clan awaits It's soul berefit With souls ripped Just to carry my soul away My brothers are on display too In all famous European cities London ,Berlin,Milan,Copenhagen You name it Curators guilty by association Eager to give a Eurocentric view of us  Smiling sheepishly,Shamelessly Displaying wanton robbery and deceit The spirit of my ancestors awaits To avenge this vile act All I ask for is you return me home Is that too much to ask?

Tornado.

High like a tornado Wishing my expensive thoughts Calm down like Wall Street After the 2008 bubble Crazy for success Like a Mustang auctioned Out of recession Am still a wild horse Untamable yet too sassy To belong to the streets People call me names 'Cept my emotions darker than a hobbit's hair Betting my hopes on this gambit called life Smoking each day a joint Hopping a new strain will arise From the ashes of the darkest nights Ushering in White knights in every shape and form Of brighter days yet to come.

Colonizer

You come to my home Impose your religion Call my culture backward Condemn my children to slavery And our women to servitude Yet now you have the guts To appropriate epithets of my language Hakuna matata,bodaboda,simba... The list is long With no shame Now they are yours You forgot they were once Backward The nerve Your inconsistent decisions Cannot be questioned Coz afterall whenever you immigrate to Africa You are an expert Woe unto me if I came to your Land of milk and honey I'll be labelled,an immigrant Upon arrival And treated like a piece of shit Yet here I put you on a pedestal Like a trophy wife Not a mistake though Coz you major in trophy hunting.

Do I Care?

Guns and kids What should come first? Kids obviously Politicians, policy and donations What should come first? Policy obviously But this theatre of the absurd Keeps on regurgitating Evil acts of murder on innocent souls Greed exterminating an entire generation Socrates took the hemlock Cause of ideals Yet the political class of yore Is still the same Zero ideals 100% donations  Congress sold to the highest bidder When will all this end?

Psychedelic

I àm in a love-hate relationship I love myself Sometines I love others For personal endeavors You say that's psychopathetic I swear thats sympathetic Being brutally honest Is what I bring to your empty table Full of expectations Thorns got rosses So does romance Sò what shall we do? In this whirlwind of emotions Bloodied lips Torn sleaves Peaceful hearts Carrying rivers of vengeance Toasting to plots and counterplots Bringing suffering to this intertwined souls Of a serpent and a saint Is all I search for In this foggy cloud of opinions.

Heretic.

I am out of your league That is...true I stand alone Standing tall Even though a five footer Never ever been a damsel Always a caveman Though living large Apologies to my mates Whom I scammed with my promises To be a better human Sooner or later I am the fool Taking peoples lies to my head Not realizing the lies are just white Bad company just makes more profits As I realized late in my life business

Destined.

Nothing ever happens by accident Someone planted you a seed You met by divine intervention Embrace it Your fate Or be destroyed by it From Oedipus To Spartacus Hercules to Achilles Heroes we venerate Bemoaned for their actions Hubris was their achilles heel But fate vindicates They were meant to tempt fate and make Those hamartian actions Blew them off into oblivion Like the harmattan winds Proving fatal So young human Live life to the full Never act a fool To fool anybody Just be who you're meant to be And the world will embrace you.

Everything

Come visit our shores Come see our beaches You may have the money and the power But we have each other and the weather Morning till night Shivering in your winter coat and thoughts While our babies run in their birth coats Enjoying the free gifts of nature Addereal you snort, Noting 9_5 assignments Just to add that extra dollar 365 you seat for the 401k While the seasons are in our favor, You might think you have everything But come to our stead and see everything From natures perspective.

Returnee

I will go back home Where I belong For long I have been away Longing for a runaway Stressing over work Depressing over traffic Now I am back Where my umbilicol cord was burried Where my childhood memories Are filed and riled Where the boy Ibwas Is now a man I am Where everyone knows everyone I am proud to be back No funny stares No rumor mongering No sniding Just a cool embrace And genuine smiles to say hello The returnee is back Tob the place his heart feels full to the brim

Shopkeeper.

She came to shop Few supplies and all she said Why can't you be my supplier I posed Of what exactly She asked Those big eyes Would have put a king on his knees Begging She promised to reply When she goes low on supply The damned day came I don't know what I was  thinking Or rather whether I was thinking For staters It was market day All the market women saw her Enter my shop The boda  guys at the back Mark timed her exit Now in the dark Of this cell I pay the debt Of my iniquity The female judge am told Judges male molestors Harsher than a labrader 15 years if am lucky Is what the jail birds Have predicted Will my wife stay Or she is already having an affair The burden of being a man In the 21st century is Hotter than hell to handle I thought issues can be handled Whenever elders sit But now my elders see me as filth That deserves hanging.

The Panel

Too many suits seated Some light, some dark Just hope none's got dark humour To chide and cheat Me out of this job For years ave been waiting This moment full of life Acting deaf and dumb Just to ace those scores Now a feat of blokes Are gonna judge, jury and execute me Nothing to lose Though too broke To pay attention Wanna cut to the chase The panel shouldn't give me work Coz a job is all I need.

AfCFTA

Almost sixty percent of the African population is under the age of twenty five making it the world’s youngest continent. Each year in Africa, eleven million young people enter the job market. As the AfCFTA comes into effect, the youth should lead in taking advantage of the opportunities that come with the implementation of this milestone. The AfCFTA breaks trade barriers and speeds up the movement of goods and persons across the continents borders. In order to rope in the African Youth a couple of issues have to be addressed to facilitate youth involvement. Globalization has and continues to change overnight, efforts in leveraging the skill set we offer the African youth of today need to be upscaled For instance the skills acquired through school might not be the expected market ready skills, this is not to insinuate that our curriculums are far behind but with technological advancement we need little twitches here and there to adjust to the global standards. Therefore the Africa...

War

Missing limbs, missing bones Missing friends, missing relatives Available mortar, available bullets Fresh supply, from far away Girls are now women Boys are now men They say War is expensive Sacrifices have to be made There is no 9-5,only 24/7 Air smells of death Water changes to red For that is the official war color And human suffering The official theme song When will this end? Nobody knows For each side has a cheering squad In the name of a powerful country Providing ammunition and combat gear Generously From their war arsenal that doesn't stop Provided you meet your supply Of minerals and gas.

Observations

In the past few weeks I have been doing my personal observations and research into how individual traumas affects individuals. My research has zeroed down on how childhood traumas cut across ones social behaviour irrespective of the economic class one ends up in adulthood. For instance,go to a pub, club or bar/restaurant.When individuals walk in.No one might notice anything of naught about the(lets call them specimen x's)Several drinks later the colors begin appearing distinctly on this chromatogram. For instance my recent experience with a particular specimen x at a popular joint in an unspecified destination. The specimen drinks into the evening begins walking about buying drinks for anyone who 'seems to notice him' after the whole experience having not received his fair share of 'attention' goes ahead to dance around the whole place eliciting mixed reactions from revellers. How does my psychoanalysis set in.It is my well informed submission that such an individual mi...

Transition

Two worlds Worlds apart Meshed together One gone With the whirlwind Another reincarnate Of my past blasts Fitting in High On imposters syndrome Might fit Like an Italian suit Or cave in To fitting in The masses Only time Will tell My tale
